The State of Mozilla: 2010
Mozilla has filed its audited financial statements for 2009. And it’s looking good. For 2009, Mozilla reports a revenues of $104 million, up 34% from 2008. Now, that is an awesome figure, considering the fact that all their products are free.
More updates that happened in 2010:
- Firefox 4 beta releases.
- Introduces support for Hardware Acceleration in FF browser (for windows).
- WebGL brings 3D graphics to Firefox.
- Major improvements to the JavaScript engine, including the addition of the new JägerMonkey JIT compiler
- Launched a community care program called “Army of Awesome” that enables Firefox users to respond to each other & answer support questions via Twitter.
